UNA Popup Perfume Bar

This year for Mother’s Day my mom took my grandmother and I to a business she does the books for, Una. I have been obsessed with Una ever since my mom started working for them and would bring their products home, so I was very excited about this. For Mother’s Day they were having a pop up perfume making bar with mimosas. Right up my alley, I know.

So we arrived at Una, my mom and grandma got their mimosas and then we got down to business. Perfume making. They had the option where you could concoct your own or they had a list of recipes.

I was immediately pumped for this because I’ve been having trouble falling asleep lately and I noticed that they had a sleep mixture, so I went right for that one. My mom and grandma went the ~creative~ route and decided to make their own. My grandma made one that smelled like Gardenia’s that had just Gardenia oil in it. Then my mom made one that smelled like oranges and had Ylang Ylang, Sweet Orange, Lavender and Vetiver in it.

All the perfumes smelled so good and refreshing, plus they’re so easy to make. You first have to start with a base to the perfume, which they use sunflower oil. (You can purchase sunflower oil at basically any grocery store.) Then, fill your perfume tube up 3/4 of the way with the oil and then you add the drops of whatever scents your heart desires.

UNA doesn’t normally have a make your own perfume bar running at their store when you go in, but if you have a group of friends or family, you can request a workshop on their website. I’ll include a link below. I think this would be such a cute and fun birthday idea for your mom or best friend. They also have other types of workshops available, like make your own herbs or festive cocktails.

UNA is such an amazing business. They are 100% run by women and all of their products are hand crafted in the store. They never add in harsh chemicals, additives, or fragrances.

While we were there I also picked up body butter, for my boyfriend’s mom for Mother’s Day because I know it’s my mom’s favorite (and mine, this stuff is literally the holy grail.) I also got linen spray that cleans and refreshes your sheets and pillows. Then my mom got rose water spray. I also love their luxe face cream. I use it every morning and night after I wash my face.

UNA sells a variety of products from body butters, soaps, and lotions to candles and bracelets. I definitely recommend stopping by if you live in Pittsburgh area. The owner Jessica, is the sweetest women and will definitely make your experience in the store one to remember.
